Professor Alison Dean has major areas of research interest in service marketing and management and consumer participation in service delivery, co-created value, and service quality. She has extensive teaching experience in distance, online, face-to-face and block modes, including management of multi-campus and multi-mode offerings, and has been the recipient of various teaching awards, including the 2009 University of Newcastle Vice Chancellor's Faculty Award for Supervision Excellence (Faculty of Business & Law). She has supervised more than 20 Honours, Masters and PhD students to completion. Prof Dean was Head of Newcastle Business School (commenced 2010), Assistant Dean (Teaching and Learning) (2006-June 2008), Head of Marketing Discipline (2009), Director Honours Program (2010) and Assistant Dean (Research Training) at the Newcastle University. She also has publications such like 'Wong, Amy & Dean, Alison M (2009) “Enhancing Value for Chinese Shoppers: Store and Customer Characteristics”, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Vol. 16, No. 2, pp. 123-134'.


Emeritus Professor Peter Flood


MSc (UNE), PhD (UQ), MSc (AU), IEM (Harvard)

Professor Flood is the Provost of Top Education with over 40 years experience in higher education including 31 years at UNE, 9 years at University of Queensland and 3 years as Provost. He has held academic management and executive positions including Head of Department, Head of School, Dean of Faculty, Pro Vice-Chancellor (research), Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research), Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International) and Acting Vice-Chancellor. He has served as a Board Member of 4 Cooperative Research Centres, the National Marine Science Centre (Coffs Harbour), the Animal Genetics Breeding Unit, the International Livestock Resource and Information Centre Ltd, and the Primary Industries Innovation Centre at the University of New England Rural Properties Board. He also served as the 2010 Chair of the National Steering Committee for Research Infrastructure in Earth and Geospatial Sciences of Auscope Ltd. Professor Flood has received additional academic recognition by recently being appointed Honorary Professor in Geosciences at the University of Sydney. 



Emeritus Professor Stan Glaser

Formerly Professor of Management, College of Business, University of Western Sydney, Research Director, Sydney Graduate School of Management, Professor of Management and Director of International Programs, Macquarie Graduate School of Management. He has been on the boards of Macquarie Graduate School of Management Pty. Ltd. and an Israeli start-up company, Rooster Notification Technology Ltd. He is currently on the international advisory board of UK based Emerald Group Publishing and is an active consultant to business and government.



Professor Jim Psaros

B.Comm, M.Comm, PhD (UNSW), FCPA

Professor Psaros is former Deputy Head, Faculty of Business & Law at the University of Newcastle. He has had a distinguished career in academia that has extended for over three decades, the majority of which was at the University of Newcastle. Professor Psaros achieved excellent outcomes in research, teaching and senior university management roles. Psaros was the Director of the University of Newcastle (Sydney), Deputy Head - Faculty of Business and Law, Assistant Dean Teaching and Learning and Director of Executive and Corporate Programs. He was formally Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance at the University of Newcastle. Prior to entering academia, Professor Psaros was employed for several years in Chartered Accounting and has experience in Australia and overseas working for Big 4 Accounting Firms. For the last 20 years he has taught and researched at Australian and British Universities. He has sat on the Board of Directors of companies and the audit committee of government authorities. He has both extensive professional accounting and research experience. Professor Psaros has a PhD in Accounting from the University of New South Wales. Throughout his research career, Professor Psaros has focused on issues of practical importance. He has conducted research in a range of areas including auditing and fraud, the inadequacies of Australian accounting standards, and more recently, corporate governance. Professor Psaros has published a book and twenty-eight journal articles. He has made many presentations at professional and academic forums. He is respected as an expert by both the academic and business communities. Underpinning his expertise is the development of a model for assessing the adequacy of organizations corporate governance. This model has been used as the basis for an annual assessment of the corporate governance of Australia’s largest 250 companies, since 2002. Professor Psaros is also a highly motivated and inspirational teacher with ability to enthuse and challenge students to think critically and deeply about contemporary issues in accounting.



Professor Xiongwen Lu

Professor Lu is the Dean of School of Management at Fudan University, one of the leading business schools in China and internationally. Under his leadership, the School has been accredited by EQUIS and AACSB, and established several international joint programs with MIT, University of Hong Kong and other worldwide leading universities.



Associate Professor Yiming Tang

Associate Professor Tang is an Associate Professor in Management (Marketing) at the Macquarie Graduate School of Management. His teaching and research areas include marketing and strategic management.


Emeritus Professor Ted Wright

MA (Cambridge), Bachelor of Law (Dalhousie), Bachelor of Science (Toronto)

Emeritus Professor Wright was the Dean of Law (Head, School of Law) at the University of Newcastle since January 2002, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law and The Acting Dean (Nov - Dec 2001), Acting Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Faculty of Business & Law between 1 Dec 2005 and 15 Mar 2006. He was also appointed Law Reform Commissioner of Victoria in 1991 and 1992, as a member of the Commonwealth Access to Justice Advisory Committee in 1993 and 1994. He has undertaken research on behalf of the Law Council of Australia, the Attorney-General's departments of the Commonwealth, NSW, Queensland and Victoria, the Legal Aid Commission of NSW, the Queensland Criminal Justice Commission (now the Crime and Misconduct Commission), Queensland Legal Services Commissioner, Motor Accidents Authority of NSW, County Court of Victoria, and NRMA Insurance (now IAG).

Professor Peter Eddey

BCom (Hons) (UNSW), MCom (Hons) (UNSW), FCA, FCPA

Dean of Sydney City School of Business

Professor Eddey is an Emeritus Professor of the Faculty of Business and Economics at Macquarie University with over 40 years’ experience in university education. After graduating from UNSW with honors degrees, he joined the faculty of UNSW before moving to Macquarie University where he became Professor in Accounting and published research papers in leading national and international journals (including Abacus and the Journal of Accounting Research) and was the sole author of a widely adopted textbook in company accounting. Professor Eddey was the Director of Graduate Studies in the Business and Economics Faculty at Macquarie University and developed several highly successful programs including the Master of International Business and the Master of Accounting (CPA Extension). Subsequently, he spent two years at Charles Sturt University as Professor of Accounting before he joined TOP Education as Head of Business School. Professor Eddey is a Fellow of both CPA Australia and The Institute of Chartered Accountants. 



Professor Eugene Clark

Dean of Sydney City School of Law

Dr Eugene Clark is Distinguished Professor of Law and Senior Foreign Expert with the College of Comparative Law, China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing. He is also an Emeritus Professor and former Pro-Vice Chancellor (External Relations), University of Canberra. He has also been Dean of two law schools in the US and has worked extensively in Asia and North America. He has earned five university degrees including post graduate qualifications in law as well as education from universities in both the US and Australia. He serves on the editorial boards of three international journals and was formerly a member of the Board of Governors of the Arizona and North Carolina Bar Associations. Professor Clark has extensive teaching and research publications portfolio, which includes Cyber Crime, Banking and Financial Institutions Law, Intellectual Property Law, Legal Education to mention but a few.

Senior Director of Research

Professor Gibson is a Senior Director of Research and Curriculum Development at Top Education. He is also currently the Director of International Accounting Program at Rangsit University in Thailand. Professor Gibson is also a conjoint professor at University of Newcastle Business School. He is also former President of SEAANZ (Small Enterprise Association of Australia and New Zealand).



Ms Cathy XU

Ms Cathy Xu is the Associate Dean of the Sydney City School of Business and Senior Academic Manager of the Institute responsible for academic operation, management and development. Prior to her work at TOP, Ms. Xu was a financial accountant in a commercial firm. Ms. Xu is also a Member of TOP’s Academic Executive Committee.
