The Dean's Welcome Message

The Sydney City School of Business at Top Education Institute looks forward to 2018 with great expectations after a successful 2017. The Business School is definitely the place to study in 2018 for your undergraduate or postgraduate degree in accounting, applied finance, business, management or marketing. To our established range of degree courses, the Business School has introduced a Master of Business Administration in 2018.

There have been several major developments for the Business School in recent times. Especially important is the decision by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) to grant Self Accrediting Authority to Top Education Institute in the field of Management and Commerce at AQF Levels 5-9. Self Accrediting Authority means that Top Education Institute can now design, develop and implement courses without requiring TEQSA's approval.  While all Australian universities hold Self Accrediting Authority, only very few higher education institutions in the private sector hold this authority. Being granted Self Accrediting Authority is truly a tick of approval from the Australian Government’s higher education regulator.

The commercial alliance between PricewaterhouseCoopers and Top Education Institute is presently benefitting Business School students through the availability of PwC’s career development program and the contribution PwC specialists make providing guest lectures and case study presentations in selected courses. To be in alliance with a global leader in financial services is another mark of distinction for Top Education Institute and its Business School.

The Business School’s accounting programs retain full accreditation with CPA Australia and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Also, the Business School is currently registered by CPA Australia as a CPA Program tuition provider in the conduct of our Master of Accounting Practice degree program.

Top Education’s campus within the Australian Technology Park (ATP) is being expanded and improved as the ATP owner proceeds with major renovations and the construction of new buildings.  The site upgrade will provide future students with enhanced campus facilities, high-tech learning spaces and an extended range of recreational and personal services within the ATP perimeter.

In 2018 we welcome new staff, new programs and, most importantly, we welcome all new students and offer our best wishes and our full support for a successful and productive time at the Sydney City School of Business.
