 Unit Overview:

With the globalisation of business, mastering the cross-cultural “people factor” is a critical aspect of success. Cross Cultural Management TMGT501 aims to equip students with a thorough understanding of cultural dimensions of international management. Not only will students be introduced to intercultural concepts, models and techniques through exercises and group work, they will also learn how to apply these in international business context.

An invaluable part of the unit Cross Cultural Management is the objective to enhance students’ cultural awareness. Throughout the unit, students will be encouraged to show the drive and ability to engage others; the ability to understand and develop patterns from cultural cues based on knowledge and strategy; and the capability to act in accordance with drive, knowledge and strategy. In other words, students of this unit will emerge with the knowledge and skills to appreciate and act upon conditions for successful interactions across cultures.
