Emeritus Professor Ted Wright
Dean of Sydney City School of Law
Emeritus Professor Wright was the Dean of Law (Head, School of Law) at the University of Newcastle since January 2002, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law and The Acting Dean (Nov - Dec 2001), Acting Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Faculty of Business & Law between 1 Dec 2005 and 15 Mar 2006. He was also appointed Law Reform Commissioner of Victoria in 1991 and 1992, as a member of the Commonwealth Access to Justice Advisory Committee in 1993 and 1994.
He has undertaken research on behalf of the Law Council of Australia, the Attorney-General's departments of the Commonwealth, NSW, Queensland and Victoria, the Legal Aid Commission of NSW, the Queensland Criminal Justice Commission (now the Crime and Misconduct Commission), Queensland Legal Services Commissioner, Motor Accidents Authority of NSW, County Court of Victoria, and NRMA Insurance (now IAG).
